About Villars Ski School
Founded in 1974 by Jacques Stump, Villars Ski School was the first independent ski school in Switzerland. From the beginning, the school has focused on innovation and high-quality teaching, with the development of the Gradual Length Method (GLM®).
Learn with the Gradual Length Method
The GLM® method was created to make learning to ski simple, progressive and enjoyable. Beginners start on very short skis of around one metre, allowing them to ski in parallel from their first day. As their skills and confidence improve, the length of the skis is gradually increased.
Experience and innovation
Over the years, the school has continued to develop its range of winter sports activities. It was among the first Swiss ski schools to introduce snowboard and carving lessons and later expanded with mountain excursions and activities for groups and businesses.
