About the lesson

Whether you’re on your first ski holiday, looking to boost yourself off that ‘intermediate plateau’ or looking for advanced lessons to fine tune your technique,  our groups are a great way to meet like-minded people of a similar ability level.

We offer adult group lessons every week of the season. It’s a great way to improve, have fun and meet other skiers or snowboarders with a similar ability level.

Altitude guarantees that we will never cancel your group when your place has been confirmed, but if you are the only one for your level we will reduce the running time of the lessons each day.

About Altitude Ski School

Welcome to Altitude Ski & Snowboard School! Our ski school journey started back in 2001 in Verbier and has since expanded into Grindlewald, Wengen, Gstaad, Zermatt, Davos and Klosters. We always had one simple belief in mind that every client deserves to have the best possible experience, from booking lessons or guiding through to enjoying an incredible day on the mountain.

In 2001, our ski school in Verbier started with 12 instructors and a concept to deliver high quality, professional ski & snowboard instruction to clients of all ages & abilities. Since then, we’ve expanded into new resorts & become renowned for our impeccable service & our ability to match our instructors to each client’s needs.

We now offer private and group lessons in over 10 different languages and our core goal of providing the best service and instruction remains at the heart of what we do.

Group lessons start at Kleine Scheidegg near the train station above Grindelwald and Wengen. 

We meet our guests in front of our meeting point sign at the end of the platform (direction Grindelwald). The meeting point sign is attached to the front of the wooden stadium seating facing the main station.

Train times Wengen  --> Kleine Scheidegg at .16 and .46 minutes past the hour. The journey time is approximately 25 minutes.

Any bookings that are cancelled within 7 days will incur a charge of 50%. For lessons in New Year Week and February holidays, any bookings cancelled within 14 days will incur a charge of 50%. All bookings not cancelled more than 48 hours in advance will not be refunded.

In the case of lesson cancellation due to lift closure, injury or sickness, adverse weather conditions, breakdowns of mechanical installations or other incidents beyond the company’s control Altitude will not be liable to provide the client with a refund. We advise our clients to take out adequate insurance to cover them in the case of cancellation.

Altitude declines all liability in the case of an accident that occurs during any lesson or company run event. Altitude reserves the right to cancel any session if payment is not settled in full before the lesson.
