These T&C apply to all offers and bookings of Skiguru-Zillertal (ski instruction, freeride guiding, ski touring, safety/avalanche training, ski-teacher training, guide & film service).

2. Contracting Party & Conclusion of Contract

Contracting party: Skiguru-Zillertal – Xaver Kröll, Breitlahneweg 291, 6290 Mayrhofen.
A contract is formed upon our booking confirmation (email). Side agreements require written confirmation (text form).

3. Services

  • Type and scope as per website/offer and booking confirmation.

  • Not included: lift passes, rental equipment, travel, meals, insurance.

  • For safety reasons, content/terrain/route/grouping may be adapted.

4. Prices & Payment

  • Prices are those published at the time of booking (price list).

  • Payment is due before the course starts.

  • Accepted methods: bank transfer (prepayment) or cash on site before start.

  • Card payment only if explicitly offered.

  • If payment has not been received by start time, we may withhold or cancel the service (see Sec. 6).

Note: Please transfer in time (bank lead times). IBAN/BIC are stated on the invoice/booking confirmation.

5. Participation Requirements & Equipment

  • Participation at your own risk; follow guide/instructor instructions.

  • Helmet recommended (mandatory for minors). For freeride/touring: avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel required; if applicable airbag, skins.

  • Participants are responsible for suitable, well-maintained equipment and clothing.

  • Adequate health/fitness and appropriate skill level required; inform us in advance of any specifics.

6. Cancellation, Rebooking, No-Show

  • Cancellation up to 7 days before start: free of charge.

  • 6–3 days before start: 50% of course price.

  • < 48 hours before start or no-show: 100%.

  • Rebooking subject to availability; handling fee may apply.

  • Delays/early termination by the client shorten the service; no right to extension/refund.

7. Liability & Own Responsibility

  • Liability: Skiguru-Zillertal is not liable for slight negligence. This does not affect liability for personal injury or breach of essential contractual duties; in the latter case, liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical damage.

  • Alpine residual risk: Activities in alpine terrain involve inherent risks (weather, snow, avalanches, terrain). These remain within the participant’s risk sphere. We recommend suitable leisure/rescue cost insurance.

  • Protective gear/helmet: Helmet strongly recommended; mandatory for minors. Lack of protective gear may lead to exclusion. Not wearing a helmet may be considered contributory negligence. Additional safety gear as required must be provided by the participant.

  • Damage between/by participants: We are not liable for damage caused by/among participants or third parties unless due to intent or gross negligence by Skiguru-Zillertal or where mandatory statutory liability applies.

  • Appropriate course choice/skills: The participant warrants the chosen course matches their skills and fitness. Bookers for others (esp. minors) confirm suitability for those participants.

  • Rules/indemnity: FIS rules and guide/instructor directions must be observed. Violations may lead to exclusion without refund. The participant indemnifies Skiguru-Zillertal against third-party claims arising from their own breaches to the extent permitted by law.

8. Provider Cancellation/Changes

In cases of force majeure, avalanche risk, bad weather, lift closure, illness/accident of the guide, or insufficient numbers, courses may be cancelled, interrupted, or adapted. Unused services will be refunded or credited; further claims (e.g., travel, lift passes) are excluded.

9. Times, Meeting Point & Punctuality

Meeting point and times are stated in the booking confirmation. Delays shorten the service; no entitlement to extension or (partial) refund.

10. Minors

Participation by minors only with consent of legal guardians; for private instruction, an accompanying person may be required for safety.

11. Insurance

We recommend travel/cancellation insurance and rescue/medical repatriation coverage. Participants are responsible for adequate health and accident insurance.

12. Photo/Audio/Video & Usage Rights

For certain services (e.g., guide & film service, video analysis), photo/audio/video may be produced. Private use of media provided to the participant is permitted.
Use for Skiguru-Zillertal marketing/communications (website, social media, brochures) occurs only with prior, voluntary, documented consent of the person(s) depicted. Consent may be revoked at any time with future effect. For minors, guardian consent is required.

13. Vouchers

Vouchers are transferable, not redeemable for cash; remaining credit stays valid within the voucher period.

14. Data Protection

We process personal data for contract execution according to our Privacy Policy (see website). Contact: info@skiguru-zillertal.at.

15. Governing Law, Place of Performance, Jurisdiction

Austrian law applies. Place of performance is Mayrhofen, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Consumers benefit from mandatory jurisdictions at their domicile; for businesses, jurisdiction is at our seat.

16. Severability

If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains effective. The statutory provision replaces the invalid one.


Cancellation Policy (Right of Withdrawal)

Leisure services with a fixed date: generally no statutory right of withdrawal.

No Right of Withdrawal for Fixed-Date Services

For contracts relating to leisure activities (e.g., ski instruction, guiding) where a specific date or period is agreed, no statutory right of withdrawal applies. The booking is binding; our cancellation terms (Sec. 6) apply.

Note on Possible Exceptions

  • If a booking is made without a fixed date, a right of withdrawal may exist in individual cases.

  • Regardless, our clear cancellation deadlines (Sec. 6) apply. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.


Payment Before Course Start (Binding)

The full course fee is due no later than before the course starts — by bank transfer (prepayment) or cashon site. If payment is missing, we may withhold or cancel the service (Sec. 6).
