1. Cancellation by the client

1.1 With partial payment (deposit):
If you cancel after making a partial payment, the deposit is non-refundable and will be retained by ESF.

1.2 With full payment:

  • More than 15 days before the start of the service:

    • If you have taken out personal cancellation insurance (including the one offered by ESF during online booking), please refer to the insurance terms.

    • Without insurance: ESF will refund the amount paid, deducting 10% administrative costs (minimum €20) and 10% cancellation fees (minimum €20).

  • Within 15 days before the start of the service:

    • If you have insurance: please refer to the insurance terms.

    • Without insurance: ESF will retain 50% of the price paid.

1.3 Curtailment on the day of or during the service:

  • If you have cancellation insurance: please refer to the insurance terms.

  • Without insurance: if you can present proof of ski pass payment and a local doctor’s medical certificate confirming inability to ski, ESF will offer to reschedule the lesson if possible. If rescheduling is not possible, a credit will be issued for the unused portion of the service, minus 10% administrative costs (minimum €20).

  • In all other cases: no refund will be issued.

We strongly recommend that all clients ensure they are appropriately insured, or subscribe to suitable cancellation insurance when booking.


2. Cancellation or curtailment by ESF

  • Lessons may be cancelled or curtailed in the event of:

    • Closure of slopes or ski lifts.

    • Weather conditions making access unsafe.

    • Inability to replace an absent instructor for a legitimate reason (e.g. medical incapacity, including Covid-19).

    • Insufficient participants in a group lesson (minimum of three required per level).

  • In such cases, ESF will offer:

    • A private lesson as an alternative (extra charge may apply), or

    • A credit valid for the following season, or

    • A refund of the group lesson (excluding insurance).

  • Refunds will be calculated on the basis of the unit price of the service.


3. Exclusion

ESF reserves the right to exclude any participant whose behaviour disrupts the group or threatens safety. In this case, no refund will be given.
